1. Stop the Loss ✔️Tenants Protections ➗Housing Acquisition: "Not fully supportive. In some cases, purchasing older stock can be more expensive in the long run, including maintenance and replacement of electrical and plumbing, facade, and amenities. We need to weigh those costs with the costs of simply using policy tools at the city's disposal to allot a certain percentage of new development to affordable/subsidised housing."

2. Create More ✔️Inclusionary Zoning: "Especially helpful in areas with higher median incomes." ➗Increased Budget: "Partially. Funding needs to also come from other levels of government. This cannot be solely borne by the city. We can also explore partnering with non-profit agencies."
3. Preserve the Quality ➗Landlord Licensing: "Partially. Support oversight and enforcement tools through licencing to protect tenants, but all costs (maintenance repairs, legal costs) should be the responsibility of the landlord." ✔️Ombudsperson: "Independent perspective free of conflict and influence from other files will be helpful to guide the city's efforts. City council can then take recommendations and apply it within a plan and budget."
