The Alliance to End Homelessness Ottawa will be releasing an exciting report, written by Dr. Carolyn Whitzman to City Council called "Our City Starts With Home: Scaling Up Non-Profit Housing in Ottawa".
The report is intended to be a "how to" for the City of Ottawa to increase new non-profit housing, using the tools and levers available, and identifies what's needed from other levels of government to make it happen.
Please join us for our launch event on Monday, May 1st at 9:00 am at City Hall to hear more about the report, and how you can help to champion this locally.
We will be bringing this to the Planning and Housing Committee on May 3rd. While there are many pieces to resolving the affordable housing and homelessness crisis, non-profit housing supply is at its core.
We need every person who cares about this crisis to speak with local leaders and influencers. There are solutions to the housing and homelessness crisis. But we need everyone’s support to get there!
